The new measurement technique provides and massive improvement in the signal levels available. Looking at the prior art systems with 100 ohms, 100 kilo hertz and switching and comparing these with the Metrosol Johnson noise thermometer we have fifty times more signal by using five kilo ohms, 10 times more signal my using a 1 mega hertz bandwidth and a further times 2 advantage by not switching. This provides 1000 times more signal and is a game changer in the design of Johnson noise thermometer.
